About Robert Garrigus
Robert Garrigus was born November 11th, 1977 in Nampa, Idaho. Though he was born in Idaho, Robert spent his childhood growing up in Banks, Oregon. His father, Tom, won a silver medal in trap shooting at the 1968 Summer Olympics, so being a natural athlete ran in Robert’s blood. His love of golf started in high school where he played on the men’s golf teams for Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis, Oregon, and Centennial High School in Gresham, Oregon. He soon went on to attend Scottsdale Community College in 1995.
Robert turned professional in 1997, where he played on both the NGA Hooters Tour and the Gateway Tour until 1999. He then started on the Buy.com Tour in 2000, and went on to be a member of the Nationwide Tour in 2002, 2004, and 2005. In 2005, Robert earned his PGA TOUR card for the first time when he tied for 9th in Q-School that year. Robert’s professional career on the PGA TOUR took off shortly thereafter, winning the 2010 St. Jude Classic, as well as placing in numerous other TOUR events over the past ten years.

Robert currently lives in Arizona with his wife and son. Robert says his favorite course to play is the Links at Continental Ranch GC in Tucson, Arizona, and would love to play St. Andrews’ Old course in Scotland someday. His favorite professional team is the Chicago Bears and his favorite college team is the Oregon Ducks. Robert’s favorite professional athlete to watch is LeBron James. His biggest thrill outside of golf is catching a 10 lbs. bass and his favorite city to visit is Carmel, California.
